Who it suits
The most powerful
TechRadar and Tom's Guide both name it their premium pick. Their reviews credit PSSR upscaling, faster ray tracing and 2TB of storage.
Where it falls down. All three reviewers question the price: IGN's 7 out of 10 says to think twice at $700, and it now lists at $899. Tom's Guide and TechRadar both count the missing disc drive, and TechRadar calls the graphical gains broadly subtle.
Where this sits against the alternatives
This product is one of the picks on Reviews Rate the $649 PS5 Highest of Six Consoles, which compares it against the others that cleared the same three-outlet bar.
