Apple One Costs $13 to $35 a Month Less Than Its Parts
Individual $21.95: Music, TV, Arcade, 50GB. Family $27.95: the same with 200GB, for six. Premier $39.95 adds News+, Fitness+, 2TB.

Apple One bundles Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ storage for $21.95 a month (Individual, 50GB) or $27.95 (Family, 200GB, shared with up to five others); Premier, at $39.95, adds Apple News+, Apple Fitness+ and 2TB. Bought separately at Apple’s own prices, the same services cost $34.96, $44.96 and $74.94 a month, so the bundle is cheaper by $13.01, $17.01 and $34.99 — if you would otherwise pay for all of them.
What each plan includes
From Apple’s US Apple One page and Support article 111766, read 13 October 2026:
| Individual | Family | Premier | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | $21.95 | $27.95 | $39.95 |
| Apple Music | Yes, not shareable | Yes | Yes |
| Apple TV | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Arcade | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| iCloud+ storage | 50GB | 200GB | 2TB |
| Apple News+ | No | No | Yes |
| Apple Fitness+ | No | No | Yes |

Apple One is monthly only. Apple’s FAQ calls it “a monthly subscription service with no long-term commitment”, and you can cancel at least a day before the renewal date and keep access to the end of the month you paid for.
The arithmetic: bundle against buying each one
Apple’s own “See price breakdown” panels list what each service costs alone. The totals and differences below are ours, from those figures:
| Individual | Family | Premier | |
|---|---|---|---|
| iCloud+ | $0.99 (50GB) | $2.99 (200GB) | $9.99 (2TB) |
| Apple Music | $11.99 (Individual) | $19.99 (Family) | $19.99 (Family) |
| Apple TV | $14.99 | $14.99 | $14.99 |
| Apple Arcade | $6.99 | $6.99 | $6.99 |
| Apple Fitness+ | — | — | $9.99 |
| Apple News+ | — | — | $12.99 |
| Separately, a month | $34.96 | $44.96 | $74.94 |
| Apple One, a month | $21.95 | $27.95 | $39.95 |
| Difference a month | $13.01 | $17.01 | $34.99 |
| Difference over 12 months | $156.12 | $204.12 | $419.88 |
Over a year, Premier comes to $479.40 against $899.28 for the same six services and 2TB bought one by one.
Two figures on Apple’s page do not match its own prices. The breakdown panels label the savings 31% (Individual), 30% (Family) and 43% (Premier), and the FAQ says “up to 46%”. Dividing each difference by the separate total gives 37%, 38% and 47%. The dollar amounts agree with each other; only the percentages are off, so we quote dollars.
When the bundle undercuts what you pay now
The difference above assumes you would buy every service in the plan. The useful question is what you pay today. On Apple’s prices:
- Apple Music alone ($11.99) costs less than Individual. Add Apple TV ($14.99) and the pair, at $26.98, already costs more than Individual’s $21.95.
- Music, Arcade and 50GB come to $19.97 alone, $1.98 under Individual, so without Apple TV the bundle costs more.
- Apple Music Family ($19.99) plus 200GB ($2.99) is $22.98, under Family’s $27.95. Add Arcade and it is $29.97, over it; add Apple TV instead and it is $37.97.
- Premier against Family is $12 a month more. For that $12, Premier adds News+ ($12.99 alone), Fitness+ ($9.99 alone) and 1.8TB more storage. Anyone in a family already paying for News+ alongside Family is paying more than Premier costs.
If storage is the main thing you buy, Apple’s 2TB, 6TB and 12TB tiers all cost the same per terabyte, and they are set against Google’s, Dropbox’s and Proton’s in our per-terabyte comparison. Apple One’s 2TB is the same 2TB that iCloud+ sells for $9.99.
Who it can be shared with
Family and Premier share every included service with up to five other family members, six people in all, through Family Sharing, which has to be set up; it is not automatic. Each person uses their own Apple Account, and Apple says members “won’t see each other’s activity or have access to each other’s private documents and files.”
Individual is the plan with conditions. Apple Music on Individual cannot be shared, per Support 111766. Apple TV and Apple Arcade can be, on both of Apple’s pages. iCloud+ is where they differ: Support 111766 says “You can always share Apple TV, iCloud+, and Apple Arcade with family”, while the Apple One page’s FAQ names only Apple TV and Arcade. If sharing 50GB matters to you, check it in Settings before relying on it.
What happens to subscriptions you already have
- Music, TV, Arcade, News+ and Fitness+ you already pay for are cancelled when Apple One bills, with a prorated refund, per Support 111766. Playlists and watch queues carry over.
- An iCloud+ plan smaller than the bundle’s is cancelled with a prorated refund. One the same size is kept through the trial, then cancelled.
- An iCloud+ plan larger than the bundle’s keeps billing, and the two allowances combine. Apple One plus iCloud+ can reach 14TB in total, Apple’s Support 108104 says.
- Trial: Apple One includes a month free for the services you do not already have, and three months with a new iPhone, iPad or Mac for new and qualified returning subscribers. If Apple One already costs less than your existing subscriptions combined, Apple moves you over without a trial.
Apple One is a different product from AppleCare One, Apple’s device-cover plan; that one is weighed in AppleCare One against AppleCare+. And if Apple One is one of several monthly bills in the house, adding them up once a year, as in our tally of household subscriptions, shows which ones you still use.
Questions people ask
What does Apple One Individual include?
Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and 50GB of iCloud+, for $21.95 a month in the US. Apple prices those four at $34.96 a month bought separately. Apple Music on this plan cannot be shared with family.
What is the difference between Apple One Family and Premier?
Premier costs $12 a month more ($39.95 against $27.95). It adds Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+ and raises iCloud+ from 200GB to 2TB. Both share everything with up to five other family members.
Is Apple One worth it if I only use Apple Music?
On Apple’s prices, no: Apple Music Individual is $11.99 a month and Apple One Individual is $21.95. Music plus Apple TV ($14.99) costs more than the bundle; Music, Arcade and 50GB together still cost $1.98 less than it.
Is there a yearly Apple One plan?
No. Apple calls Apple One “a monthly subscription service with no long-term commitment.” Twelve months cost $263.40 on Individual, $335.40 on Family and $479.40 on Premier. You can cancel at least a day before renewal.
What happens to my iCloud plan if I get Apple One?
If your iCloud+ plan is smaller than Apple One’s, Apple cancels it with a prorated refund. If it is the same size, it is cancelled after the trial. If it is larger, you keep paying for it and the two allowances combine, up to 14TB.
Can I share Apple One Individual with my family?
Partly. Apple TV and Apple Arcade can be shared on Individual, Apple says; Apple Music cannot. Apple’s support page also lists iCloud+ as shareable, which the Apple One page’s own FAQ does not mention. Sharing all of it needs Family or Premier.
How we researched this
No one at bitcritiq has handled this product. Everything here comes from published sources, listed below.
- What this cannot tell you
- Apple’s pages disagree on two small points we could not settle. The Apple One page’s breakdown panels label the savings 31%, 30% and 43%, and its FAQ says “up to 46%”; dividing Apple’s own dollar figures gives 37%, 38% and 47%. The Apple One page says Apple TV and Apple Arcade are shared even on Individual; Support 111766 adds iCloud+ to that list. Prices are US list prices before tax, and they change. We did not check promotional or student pricing beyond what these pages show, and this page does not judge any service’s catalogue.
How we chose this, and what we did
- Why this subject
- Readers ask what each Apple One plan includes and whether it is worth paying for. Our cloud-storage page covers iCloud+ prices per terabyte but not the bundle, and no bitcritiq page explains Apple One. We answer with Apple’s own prices and our arithmetic, and leave the verdict to which services a household already pays for.
- How we looked at it
- All from Apple’s US pages, read through a browser on 13 October 2026: the Apple One page, including the three “See price breakdown” panels that list each service’s separate monthly price; Apple Support 111766 (How to subscribe to Apple One, published 8 October 2026); Apple Support 108104 (what happens to your iCloud storage when you sign up, published 14 January 2026); Apple Support 108783 (sharing iCloud+ with Family Sharing); and the Apple Music page for the standalone Individual and Family prices. Every monthly total, difference, yearly figure and percentage in this article is our arithmetic from those listed prices.
